Users can customize their individual display settings for the Interactions page to control how students are sorted, what data are shown, and which visual confirmations appear.
To access and change display settings, click on the Settings Cog in the top right corner of the page, then click Display Settings.
Display settings are saved automatically for each individual user. Teachers and administrators can configure their own display settings without affecting the settings for other users. The settings available to customize are:
- Time Period
- Sort Students By
- Show
- Visual Confirmations
Time Period
The date range selected in the Time Period filter determines the boundaries for the the balances, positivity percentages, and flags on the student cards. By default this will be set to your school's culture metric, which is either the current day, current culture week, or the whole school year so far. Click on the Time Period dropdown to select one of the available periods or select the Custom Range option to choose any start and end date within the current school year.
Sort Students By
Student cards are listed from left to right, then top to bottom. By default, students are sorted alphabetically by Last Name. Alternatively, you can choose to sort them alphabetically by First Name or by in descending order by Balance of dollars or points.
Show
If you want to create a kid-friendly view when projecting the Interactions page in your classroom, use the options under Show to control which data points are displayed and which are hidden. You are able to show or hide Last Names, Balances, Positivity, and/or Flags.
Below is an example of a group showing only the student names and dollar balances:
Visual Confirmations
Visual confirmations are the colored boxes that highlight student cards and the pop up at the top of the screen that summarizes what's been recently recorded. The positivity type of the behavior that is recorded determines the color of the highlighted boxes:
- Positive behaviors are highlighted green
- Neutral behaviors are highlighted gray
- Negative behaviors are highlighted red
- A mix of behavior types recorded simultaneously is highlighted orange
If you want only certain behavior records to be highlighted in this way, you can adjust the selections under Visual Confirmations to exclude Positive Behaviors, Negative Behaviors, or Neutral Behaviors.
