Kickboard’s referral management system allows administrators to process student behavior referrals submitted by teachers in an efficient and transparent manner.
Accessing the Referral Dashboard
To access the Referral Dashboard as a School Admin or Kickboard Admin, navigate to Culture > KB Next (beta). Then select the Referral tab on the left side of the page.
It should be noted that Teachers will only see Referrals that they submitted or have been assigned action on, but Admins can see all Students and all Referrals.
The Referrals dashboard defaults to the Action Required view. To see new referrals as well as completed ones, select View All on the right hand side.
Once you’ve made your view selection by clicking on either Action Required or View All, you can browse through the Referrals in the middle by scrolling up and down. If the list is long enough, you will see an option to view additional pages of referrals at the bottom of the list.
If you want to narrow down the list of visible referrals, you can Apply Filters.
Applying Filters
Using Apply Filters, you can narrow down which referrals are currently viewable and find specific results that you may be looking for.
Time Period
The data displayed can be representative of any period of time within the school year. By default, the time period will be set to the school year to date for referrals. You can adjust the time period by selecting any of the options in the dropdown menu.
If you select Custom Range, you can click any dates on the calendar to highlight a range and then click Apply to set that range as your time period.
On the right hand side on the page, you’ll also see a list of categories to select or deselect as necessary:
You can select or deselect entire categories by checking the box, or expand the category by clicking on the arrow to the left of the category name.
Once a category is expanded, you can select all or some of the items listed to be included in your filters:
Once you’ve made your selections, click Apply Filters to update the referrals table accordingly:
If you wish to return to viewing all referrals, you can click Reset Filters to start fresh.
Referral Details
You can click on any referral in the table to see the details about it, including the actions or notes taken by Admin.
