When a behavior referral is submitted, either on the mobile app or on the web, this indicates that additional action or support is required by an administrator to respond to a behavior incident. Kickboard’s referral management system allows administrators to process student behavior referrals submitted by teachers in an efficient and transparent manner.
Referral Action Dashboard
Administrators have access to a dashboard of all submitted referrals that require actions to be processed. From this dashboard, they will be able to respond to a behavior referral in a variety of ways, including:
- Assigning the student to a consequence roster
- Assigning follow up actions for staff members to complete (and seeing when they were completed)
- Entering notes about what administration did to respond to the incident
- Marking the referral as resolved
Admins can also reject a referral with a note about why the referral has been rejected.
Referral Notification Emails
Any updates to a referral will send notification emails to everyone involved, including the staff member or teacher who originally submitted the referral, assigned actions associated with the referral, and the administrator who is processing it. This ensures transparent and timely communication about the behavior incident and how it was handled among all involved staff at the school.
All Referrals Table
The referrals dashboard also includes a historical table of all referrals for the current school year. This table can be filtered and sorted by a variety of criteria, enabling administrators to drill down into particular issues. For teachers, this table of referrals will include only those they have submitted themselves and/or been assigned to by an admin.
