To create a Family Portal account, you will need the student's access code—which you should get in a letter from the school—and the student's birthday. Once you have this information, follow the steps outlined below.
Note: Anyone who receives an access code for a student can create an account for themselves using a unique email address. That means parents/guardians and the student will go through the same process (outlined below) to create an account. They use the same access code but enter their own email addresses and set their own passwords.
When you open the app, select the "Parent" or "Student" based on your role, then click Next.
Click the blue "Need to sign up or add another student? ENTER ACCESS CODE" text.
Enter the access code and the student's birthday. (The access code is not case sensitive.) Then click the blue Next button.
Enter your email address. This is the email address you'll use to log in to the Family Portal in the future. Then click Continue.
Next, you will be asked to create and confirm a password as well as enter a verification code.
An email containing your verification code will have been sent to the email address you provided. Retrieve the code from your inbox then return to the mobile app.
Create a password that you'll use to log in to the Family Portal in the future. It must be at least 8 characters long. Confirm the password and enter the email verification code. Click NEXT.
You will now see the student's data.
To refresh the app for updates, pull down on the screen until you see "Loading" on the screen.
You will now be able to log on to the Family Portal using the same email and password on both the mobile app or the web. For more information on the data provided in the Family Portal, click here.
