Teachers, as well as School and Kickboard Admins, have the ability to print Family Portal access instruction letters. You can find instructions below about how to print access letters for:
- An individual student
- A whole group of students at once
- The whole school at once
1. Printing for a Single Student
To print an instruction letter for a single student, go to Students > Roster to find the student's name in the roster. For instructions on how to search and filter the student roster, click here.
Once you've found the student, click the hyperlinked text next to the student's name in the Family Portal Access column.
Note: You may see a number next to the student's access code. This indicates how many accounts have already been created on this student's portal using this access code. There is no limit to the number of accounts that can be created per access code, as long as each user is using a unique email address.
2. Printing for a Group of Students
By going to Students > Roster, you can print access letters for an entire group or a grade level. For instructions on how to search and filter the student roster, click here. Once the list of students is filtered to the group(s) you want, at the top of the roster click Print then select Portal Access Instructions.
If you are a Teacher, you will be brought directly to the print dialogue box to print the letter(s) (see below).
If you are a Kickboard Admin or School Admin, you will be brought to a page with a sample letter where you can edit the letter's text then print.
3. Printing for Whole School
Administrators can also print portal access letters for the entire school sorted by default group by going to Settings > Site and School Settings > Family Portal. Confirm all default groups you want are selected, then click Print Access Codes. You will be brought to a page with a sample letter where you can edit the letter's text then print.
