Student Transfer: Data Validation Error Handling

Data Validation Error Handling

As part of the new student transfer system, when withdrawing a student, it’s important to make sure that student’s enrollment dates don’t conflict with data entered. For example, if a student is withdrawn from a school on June 2nd, we wouldn’t want an absence marked at that school for them on June 3rd. Below, please find data points that need to be cleared and how you can clear them.

Data Point

Clearing Method

Behaviors (not including attendance or auto-deposits)

Behaviors must be manually removed in daily activity or culture analysis

Auto-Deposits

Users have the option of automatically clearing auto-deposits after the end date as part of the withdrawal process

Attendance Records

Users have the option of automatically clearing attendance records after the end date as part of the withdrawal process

Completed Scorecards

If the student has a completed scorecard dated after the end date, the user must manually remove the student’s scores from the scorecard. The user can do this by deleting the student from the scorecard roster entirely or clearing out the values for the student in the scorecard.

Instance of an Intervention

If a student has an instance of an intervention marked after the end date, the user must manually remove these interventions from the daily activity or intervention detail page.

Consequence Roster Scheduled

If a student is scheduled for a consequence roster after the end date, the user must manually remove them from the consequence roster.

EWIS Track Status

Users have the option of automatically clearing EWIS track statuses (both on and off track) after the end date as part of the withdrawal process
