Grading Formula: Most Recent Mastery

Most Recent Mastery Grading Formula

For each student, the Most Recent Mastery grading formula uses the most recent skill mastery score for each skill that they've been assessed on.

If a score has been assessed multiple times on the same day, both scores are averaged into the overall grade.

Please note:

-You can choose to set all Courses to use the Most Recent Mastery grading formula by going to Settings > Courses/Skills > Default Course Settings.

As you can see below, the students' mastery scores on Skill L.5.1 are taken from their scores on the Sentence Structure Homework, which was the most recent time it was assessed. Had their scores been calculated using Average Skill Mastery, we would have accounted for their scores from all four assessments instead.

In this case the students' scores on L.5.1c are taken from their scores on the Greek and Latin Roots Quiz assessment scorecard, which was the most recent time it was assessed.
