Being able to see how the records your team is entering have changed over time will help you determine if your team is on track to meet your school’s culture goals.
In order to see how often certain behaviors are being recorded, select the Interactions tab. The term “interactions” refers to both behavior and consequence records.
Next, adjust the time period for which you want to analyze the data. Click on the Time Period dropdown in the top right, then click on any two dates to select a range. Once the start and end dates are selected, click anywhere outside the dropdown to apply the date range filter.
Double check that you have all students and staff selected. When you first log in the Kickboard Answers, the student selection will be filtered to only your default group. If you want to include all students and staff, start by clicking Advanced Filters.
Then click Check All for each dropdown to select all the available Students and Staff.
Use the Include dropdown to filter the list of interactions down to show only the specific behaviors you are interested in. Click Uncheck All, then check off the categories you want. If you want to choose only specific behaviors from within a category, click Show Interactions.
Now that all your filters are set, you will see the number of records for each interaction listed in the Count column. To view how these records occurred over time, click on the graph icon in the center of the page below the filters.
You will see a graph that includes data points for each day in the selected date range and a line representing each selected category and each selected behavior or consequence. You can adjust how the data is displayed by using the options on the top right:
- Categories- Uncheck Categories to hide the summative line for each interaction category
- Interactions- Uncheck Interactions to hide the lines for each individual interaction
- Unit- To see fewer data points for longer date ranges, change from Days to either Weeks or Months
If you hover your mouse over a point on the graph a pop up will appear describing that data point.
If you hover your mouse over one of the categories or interactions listed under the graph, it will highlight that line in the graph.
