The Data Warehouse Export Settings page includes your site's export key, access security, and export schedule.
The Data Warehouse Export Settings page is accessible only by active users with Kickboard Admin permissions. It is not available via the normal settings menu in Kickboard. Instead, the URL for this page is sent to the site's designated Data Warehouse owner when the feature is enabled. This allows the owner to share the URL with only those Kickboard Admins who need to access the Data Warehouse Export Settings information.
If you have been designated as the Data Warehouse owner for your site but do not have the URL for the Data Warehouse Export, please email email@example.com to receive this information.
At the top of the Data Warehouse Export Settings page, you can find your site's export key which is required for all exports in order to access your site's data.
Your security key is an all-access key to your data. Guard it with extreme care and keep it on a need-to-know basis within your organization, as anyone who has the key will be able to download your sensitive student data.
Our policy is to never give third parties your security key, so if you are working with a third party to integrate Kickboard data into another system, you will be responsible for passing the key along to authorized personnel.
To reset your site's export key, simply click Reset Export Key and confirm. Resetting your export key will prevent any existing integrations using that key from accessing your export data.
The center section of the Data Warehouse Export Settings page is where you can designate which IP addresses should have access to export your data. Only IP addresses explicitly listed here will be able to export data.
To enter a new access point, fill in the Access Point Name and IPv4 Address, then click Add IPv4 Address.
To deactivate an existing access point, uncheck the blue active box. To reactivate, check the active box.
To delete an existing access point, click the trash can icon.
Kickboard files can be pre-generated at a specific day and time with a specific subset of data for fastest download times. The bottom section of the Data Warehouse Export Settings page is where you can set up these pre-generated file exports on a recurring schedule. Click here for more information about scheduling file exports.
