Staff: Selecting a Default Group for Daily Activity

When you log in to the Daily Activity page, by default Kickboard will load the first group of students available to you based on alphabetical order.  

If you would like to have a different group of students load when you first log in, you can select that group as your default group on your staff profile page.  This feature lets you decide which group to see first when you log in, so you might want to choose your first period class group, homeroom group, or another group that you often use.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings > My Profile
  2. In the center column labeled Group Information, find the sub-section labeled Default Groups
  3. Click on the dropdown list of your groups to select the one you would prefer as your default on Daily Activity
  4. The group you choose will save automatically. You should see a message that says "Default group for your school has been set." This indicates that the change has been saved.  Next time you go to Culture > Daily Activity, that should be the group selected by default.

 

Administrators: You can select a default group for a member of your staff by going to Settings > Students and Staff > Staff and editing their profiles by following steps 2-4 above.
